Isaiah Mustafa will probably always be known as the Old Spice Guy. You’ve seen the commercials. He prances around with no shirt on showing off his chiseled abs and making the ladies swoon. Some of the scenes are completely ridiculous but he’s really brought the Old Spice brand back to life.
The commercials are obviously geared towards women but the product is for men so the strategy may seem a bit confusing. Wouldn’t it make sense to have a commercial that makes men want to buy Old Spice? Maybe not. Women are the ones who do most of the shopping and if they are swooning over the Old Spice guy, maybe they’ll remember that when they go to the store and see Old Spice. If the man in their life has a special occasion coming up, maybe she’ll think “I’ll get him some Old Spice so he can be like that guy on TV.”
Many women may be wondering what type of lady would catch this gentleman’s eye. Well, Mustafa told US Magazine that he likes brunettes, red-heads, and blondes. He is currently dating Kathy Griffin. Well, they are dating but they are telling everyone they are just friends- you know how it goes in Hollywood. Whatever you want to call it, these two have been spending lots of time together. In case you are wondering, she is 50 and he is 37. Mustafa was previously seeing Neve Campbell or maybe they were just friends but they were spotted together a lot back in December of 2010.
